Henry was never a popular kid, he was the shy kind, but he would never let others put him or the people he cared about down.
Him and his family had a great relationship, he was the kind of boy who would give up everything just for them, and also for his friend Christina. He started noticing that the girl was acting strange, tired, frustrated, and not like herself, so he would always ask if she was ok, and she always said yes, but he knew it was not true. He tried to tell his mom what was happening, but he never found the way.
I like the movie because it shows a different side of a teenager's life, not just the part where they are rebel and don´t follow rules, but the side where they suffer and have serious situations going on at home.
Henry suspected that Christina's step-father abused her, but he had no proof; which is why he left the book, so that his mom could gather everything she needed and save his dear friend from the situation.
Like Christina, there are many children in situations like this, so this movie is a way to call out to people who have ever suspected something odd was going on with their neighboors, or maybe someone at school; sometimes they are people who cannot speack for themselves, and we need to look out for them.
