Evidence from the story that supports my inference is because Crash is very strong and Skooter is quite old. Skooter is old because Crash actually said that Skooter is his grandfather .I know that old people have weaker bones and should be handled with more care and should not be tackled.

Evidence from the story that supports my inference is that after they helped Scooter up from the ground he seemed 'out of it'. He didn't say much to anyone and Dad, Uncle Herm and Abby had to help him up.
