The Decoy Effect was pretty clever tricking people into buying the large popcorn instead of the medium because it was 50 cent more. It shocked me to see everyone doing this when they were being up sold because it was still originally four dollars more than a small popcorn.

Choice blindness works in a funny way because its basically your brain not recognizing reality anymore. You could order off a menu and get something completely different and be asked why you chose that food. Your brain will automatically find a reason to justify why you chose the food not knowing what is going on.

Now it did surprise me that over 75% of the men that took the picture test fell for it. I guess it works differently for everyone because I knew immediately that wasn't the same picture I saw in the beginning.
