We have gone back and forth with requiring an application for our Internship Program. We landed on using Tableau data to find students who have completed or nearly completed all pathway courses to market our Internship program to.

We ask all of our internship partners to create an internship description. We use the descriptions to make a job board. Internship students look at job board, find opportunities they like, contact the employer/mentor and request an interview. Organic process, we are matchmakers.

Students only know what they know. 1 in 4 jobs in the state of Illinois are in the agriculture industry. Students are largely unaware of the occupational outlook which has changed since their parents started work.
