She would remain with the organization for more than a decade and subsequently return to the organization in the late 2010s. Jodi Bair began amassing public utilities expertise early in her career as an assistant attorney general representing the state Public Utilities Commission.

After serving that Commission as both an assistant director and director, Ms. Bair
worked for the Ohio Consumers' Counsel in Columbus as an assistant consumers' counsel. This position included representing residential utility consumers in court as well as reaching out to these consumers in the community to ensure that their legal rights are honored.

Jodi Bair rejoined the state Attorney General's Office in Columbus in 2018 as a principal assistant attorney general. This position has allowed her to litigate major complex cases, including several successful cases with the state Supreme Court.
