In Kielce, there is the Astronomical Observatory and Planetarium of the Jan Kochanowski University, which is assumed to be a scientific and didactic unit. In addition to carrying out research observational work, it also conducts open dissemination activities. The observatory is located on the top floor of the building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at ul. Świętokrzyska 15.
The Astronomical Observatory is supplemented by a Planetarium for artificial sky shows. It makes it possible to familiarize the viewer with the night sky. During the sessions, the viewer learns to recognize stars and constellations, can see the movement of the celestial sphere, the appearance of the sky at different times of the year and in different places on the globe, apparent movement on the celestial sphere of the Sun, Moon and planets, with their loops in opposition.
Because preschoolers (5-, 6-year-olds) are interested in the subject of space, that's why I planned a trip to the Observatory and Planetarium in June.

As a hands-on activity I'm regularily building "bottle rockets" with my students (age 12 - 15). That way they can experience the principle of a rocket, aerodynamic parameters and train their physical abilities in the construction process.

Surely the knowledge of satellites and radars as important instruments of vision and reading of Earth's environmental information is part of laboratory modules of new technologies applied to Earth Sciences. My students love the universe and want to know if there is life beyond our planet. They wonder what a black hole is and things like that about the unknowns of the universe.

The task presented is even interesting in my secondary school setting. I also give a similar task to students in which they have to design a space travel brochure in which they are the travel agent to inform on clothes needed for the journey. Since I teach Physics students can relate to insulation and colours chosen very quickly and it raises an interesting discussion in class during the planning phase for this.

I had to do this with my own children.
They really enjoyed learning about the condidtions in space, and how to build a space suit to be able to survive up there. They especially laughed at the space nappy!!!

i think we can use the "making a space suit" activity by using recyclable material, like plastics and paperboard. Also would like to do a night observation to see if children can identify passing satellites and explain to them how it works.

I really like the idea about desinging clothes for astronouts. I will ask the same questions and follow the instructions that are given in the booklet. After desinging clothes we can prepare an exhibition for other students to visit. also we can design a spaceship for the astronut and we can write some rules for the spaceship. Maybe we can prepare a drama about it.

I think that after watching together in class with my students some of the videos you have provided, we can network with some of the presenters of the videos to have a live interview on Zoom. All of that, after my students have designed clothes for an astronaut(for example) and explained as a class why they do it as they did and share their experience with the specialist. On the other hand, a good idea is to use Leo Network to discuss about how students can approach the sky at night and interview a member of Global Network.
