  • Climb up between 5-6 hours, down 3 - 4 hours.
  • Climbing and go down the same track.
Know before you go:
  • A challenging 1.6 km vertical climb to the peak.
  • Dog/animal are not allow.
  • No water available on the track - take plenty water with you.
  • Turn back if you are finding the climb too difficult or if the weather deteriorates.
  • The only toilet is 100 m below Tahurangi Lodge - use it when you go past.
  • Read and follow advice from the yellow safety signs along the track.
