PBL for teachers, mini projects to take them through the process. Exhibition by the teacher aka students! Feedback from teachers:  build empathy for what the students go through. 
EX: Toy Story Project included--field work..visit a pre-school, read to them...learn something about your buddy through interview, then make a toy for buddy. Literacy element, culminating activity. Follow up by reading a book and presenting the toy.
EX: Refugee:  10 minutes and you have to leave, what would you take? research, interviews, podcasts, some type of challenging text, group work
