         <title>Apple Watch - Every morning I take a 45 or 60 minute Bar Method class. This consists of stretching, strengthening and aerobic exercise. I record my heart rate during this exercise on my Apple watch. Usefully it also tells me my recovery heart rate. Later in the day I usually take a long walk through the park and my Apple watch records all this. If I fall short one day my watch reminds me to do something. I love it!</title>

It is helpful to track my walks, though, and it records how long I slept. There are other settings that I could take advantage of to input other data like water consumption, food, etc.. It also allows me to take my heart rate and O2 levels which are helpful and can correlate to stress levels. &nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

Its a game changer because I used to push myself to workout everyday but if it shows that my readiness isn&#39;t optimal or good (sleep, resting heart rate and HRV will effect this) then I don&#39;t workout or I do something gentle like walking or easy yoga. I don&#39;t feel so burnt out now. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As a mountain biker, I wear an apple watch and use an app called strava. This allows me to measure heart rate, track routes I take, time it takes, and so on. Today, I went for an awesome mountain bike ride and rode a trail I hadn't ridden in close to a year. I was laughing as I was riding noticing all the progress I've made. It really boosted my confidence and excitement to improve further. I often make notes within the app attached to each exercise. Today I wrote about how highlighted my progress was and how great I felt after the ride. I take mental notes as well. My mood is always improved after exercise.</p>]]></description>

Maybe this was more efficeitn but it was so regimented it took the fun out. Now most of the tracking I do, is based on number of steps, my phone records the hours of sleep. I know what I ate and what makes me feel unwell so there isn't a tendancy to track that much anymore. And I have a grasp on how much water i am drinking. I don't need to quantify this so deliberately and can be much more liberal which ultimately is making me happier</p>]]></description>

I have taken scrupulous logs of my fitness and nutrition (along w sleep, hydration, how i feel, etc) in the past and I did it for long enough to know what different levels of fitness feel like, as well and how that is impacted by poor sleep, sub-optimal nutrition and/or hydration. i was doing crossfit at the time and the WOD journalling included reps, weights, and times. i have alse used a heart rate monitor in the past and got used to how different heart rates feel in my body. i would love to use a sleep tracker, but ... i'm on the paranoid end and don't want my personal data out there in cyberspace - so many of the devices these days are all wired up to everywhere. yuck. lol</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I can honestly say that throughout most of my life I have focused more on functional exercise, meaning movements that help me perform daily life activities better. I used to do a lot of core exercises, bodyweight workouts, and strength exercises with weights at home. However, since my last pregnancy, and now having a one-year-old baby, I have not been able to fully return to exercising yet, so at this moment I am honestly not exercising regularly.</p><p>I can speak more about how I exercised about two years ago. There was a time when I used a fitness watch to track my activity, but during the last three years that I exercised consistently, I stopped monitoring myself with devices or numbers. Instead, I learned to listen to my body and recognize my own limits, energy levels, and recovery needs.</p><p>I noticed that paying attention to how I felt physically and mentally before and after exercise helped me much more than focusing only on external measurements. It made exercise feel more sustainable, intuitive, and connected to my wellbeing rather than something stressful or overly controlled.</p>]]></description>
