* Top Five - Fourth Pick

SUMMARY: This picture

book is about a little girl named Camilla Cream. She was a girl who loved lima beans. All her other friends hated them, and she wanted to fit in, so she completely stopped eating them. Well, that wasn’t a good thing on her part to stop eating them because I made her get a bad case of stripes that were rainbow all over. Camilla started changing like crazy and all her peers started making fun of her for something she couldn’t control. In the end, Camilla realizes that she was having all these issues because she stopped eating her lima beans.

HOW IT CONTRIBUTES TO CHILDREN LITERATURE: This book is a great way for talking about ones self-image and that not everyone has to like and dislike the same things.
