Coronavirus- students and teachers of ACE express their thoughts by Irini Kafida

Greece went almost immediately to a lockdown. This is possibly the reason that till now the situation could be managed well. Of course there is uncertaincy about present and future and I think we all have to be careful and responsible. We do some German language online lessons with the students. It's not the same like in real class but I'm glad every time I meet my students online! My advice: Let's stay positive and search for solutions!

It was difficult in the beginning. Ι thought I was playing in a science fiction movie. After a while my family and I found a way to have a good and creative time together and now we are trying to get back to our previous routine.

At first I hoped that I would have a lot of free time to be creative and enchance certain skills and hobbies rather than my "gaming" skills. The next thing I knew, I was packed with homework and meetings which outcomed the obligations I had even when the school was open. So, once again, I saw my free time passing by. It is what it is , I guess!

Never thought that I would miss my students this much! We saw each other on-line( those at least who had their camera on-for some reason a lot of them were suddenly shy! )but it wasn't half as fun as being in the classroom. On Monday we'll be back but with a looong list of rules we have to follow. Let's see how that works...

It was very difficult,because it reminded me that I had to stay at home,away from my students,two years ago because I was seriously ill.
I am very happy now because we are back.We follow the rules and I hope that everything will be alright.

The virus and the situation that has been created have significantly affected all areas of human activity. Financial transactions have declined while people's relationships were limited. However, we were given the opportunity to be creative and put into practice what we learned at our meeting in Poznan. We all hope that this difficult situation will be improved and that we will all return into normality.

It is difficult to continue our lives with normality during lockdown, because we miss our families and our friends. But these hard times cannot stop us, we must keep learning and preparing ourselves for the future that awaits us. Our school closed a few weeks ago without any previous warning. We shifted to online immediately. It is hard and exhausting. But the students are doing their best and giving us the strength to go on.

Since the lockdown began, students and teachers have been working very hard and enthusiastically not to lose touch with the school. Today, the different teachers involved in the ACE project held a meeting, we were able to greet each other with great enthusiasm and we explained how each school is developing the project. We have also agreed on strategies to continue working despite the confinement situation.

It's been hard to get used to being at home and not being able to see my family or my friends but It's important to stay safe til all of this is over.

I'ts a very difficult time in Spain, but now we're going in a better way, bcouse all the country is in phase 1, and we can go walking with our friends or drink something together. It was a very difficult time and sadly lots of people died, but now the situation is going better.

As you know, this unexpected situation has been complicated for everyone. I would like to say that, for me, these days have been a really good time to know a bit more of myself and take advantage of my time. Of course, there is a lot of people who are getting through this in a really hard and bad way, and I hope they can get through it in the best way they can. By the other side, I would like you to remind that this situation must not stop us and we must move forward.

Students online meeting

On 9/6/2020 the first online erasmus meeting took place in the Google Meet platform in the context of the Active, creative, enterprising project.
At this meeting students and teachers expressed their feelings and points of view on some very interesting topics in an interactive way. Most of the issues were associated with the coronavirus outbreak and this hard situation we are all living. In that meeting students and teachers also discussed the impact the virus has on our lives, how our lives changed, and the new standards we have to adjust our lives on.
Furthermore, we expressed our opinions on e-learning, how efficient it is from our point of view, and how it conducted in our school. Additionally, the economic situation in our cities and generally our countries were discussed and students shared their thoughts about that issue with their partners and the impact it is going to have in the future. Last but not least, tasks in the project (which we ought to not forget that it is still up and running) were tried to be organized and among them the next online meeting between the countries that all of us are looking forward to!
