Not to feel like you're stupid when asking for support or being told it's on the daily reminder, when it either isn't or it's lost amongst the thousand other items on there. 

Time restraints can get in the way. This works both ways.

2- One thing that can provide additional support for the team sharing and asking questions is to have grade-level gatherings (from different departments) where teachers can openly share their ways and ask questions about their faced difficulties in the mini-community.

Last-minute deadlines, or changes in deadlines without being told. Genuine communication and consistency.

Remembering that we all have different lives and stressors beyond the school walls and therefore, your expectations of teachers are based on work being completed during school hours as much as possible. 
Also, that we as teachers are included on some level in the decisions that impact us. 

2. Ensuring that there is always enough time to listen and respond accordingly. We understand that it can be frustrating if it’s already in the DR etc but sometimes you can just simply forget despite having read it the evening before.

A lot of times when I was told to make an appointment either the day after or  in couple of days, I let it go and don’t go in for support. In addition; knowing that we all have families and a lot to deal with outside the school doors, sometimes we need that breather and we need to run out for that specific important reason! 

Feel ok sharing will be knowing that a follow through will happen and not forgetting about it as well as confidentiality in the conversation. 


Couple of things that would get in the way is being told that my question was on the daily reminder and how did I miss it, sometimes we just forget. Also, last minute decisions that staff do not know about and find out on the day of as a surprise.
