I think it's based on a true story. It's about a horse called Joey which is sold to British Army at beginning of WW1. After that, Joey is sent to France and ridden by Captain Nicholls. But in fighting, Captain Nicholls killed , so Joey is given to a younger soldier named Warren. Then, Joey works for Germans until end of the war.
Although "War Horse" is written for children, but I'm really enjoying it. The characters were described very well. This is the beautiful story, but it's very sad, it made me cry. The book has left readers with interesting feelings about Ngan and Ha's childish love. This is a very touching love novel. I found out about this book because a friend named Van recommended it to me. Ngan and Ha are both innocent children who love each other with pure and innocent feelings. However, as Dutch grew up and left her hometown for the city, she gradually felt that the village of Do Do had become boring, and she found life in the city to be much more exciting and enjoyable. Ngan, on the other hand, is still clinging to his old love affair with Holland. The story continues with Holland's falling in love with his friend Dung, having a child with him, only to be rejected by him. Ngan is the only one who can look after Holland and her children at the moment.
