The only way someone in the Middle Ages  could be a king, is if he was born in to it. The King needed protection so a castle was built and he was protected by the Nobles and Knights.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nobles were vassals to Kings, and Lords to people who were lower then them on the feudalism structure.They fought for the King and received land for there service. If they were able to collect enough land, they were able to become a Lord. They had to give money, food, and shelter to Kings anytime they needed it.</div>]]></description>

They weren't slaves and if they wanted to become free, they needed be to be gone a year and a day. They were also tied to the land and they couldn't leave unless they had permission from their lord.They worked from day till night. They only had little land to farm for themselves.</div>]]></description>

New towns were appearing because of trade and this weakened the manor system. Knights demanded money instead of land, and many people left the manors because the crusades.</div>]]></description>
