I would encourage watching YouTube videos and analyzing crocheted pieces.

I´ve always been very curious, so everything related to different worlds and dimensions atrracts me a lot.

To learn how to read the cards, I had to learn about symbols, religions, forgotten philosophies and etc. Actually, I learned about from Tarot when the topics are history and philosophy. Also, it helped me a lot to improve my artistic style too, as far as these arcane symbols are part of my own artwork, nowadays (what makes me keep studying).

I´d teach how to read these cards by recommending a lot of study, in many different areas. Tarot is about life, and life requires lots of knowledge and skills.

I believe I am very good at making delicious hummus tahine. I learnt it from my mum, Maria Nancy. I used to watch her preparing the ingredients, getting the tools needed for the cooking and I remember feeling so anxious to get my first bite. The first time I tried to recreate her recipe was 2 years before her death. It was an attempt to feel her close to me again. I went on checking the recipe book she gave me with all the important recipes a house must have. Within the past 2 years, since I tried the recipe for the first time, I can recon on times that I forgot the garlic or put too much olive oil on ti, but If you looked over the years, you could see me improving, and my working colleagues can assure you that I am making improvements, since they are my targeted audience.

Trial and error (lots of errors - like tipping over at the traffic lights on my maiden ride after forgetting to put both feet on the ground!) Hard to 'teach' this to someone, but I learned in a carpark - going round and round in circles until I had more control and could turn and stop. Then I progressed to my neighbourhood streets, then the open road and interstate etc!

I say 'instincts', but when I look back over the years I realise I have posted 1000s of images on my instagram, which means I have done a lot of editing subconsciously. Over time, you learn to trust your instincts, which is really just experience in disguise I guess.

Oh and to teach - you have to get stealthy and catch people during their natural pose. Phones are good for this- tripods, not so much... study photographs, join instagram, go to galleries, travel, read, have a sense of humour.

So I got a coach and joined a group specialized in track running.

After the training started, the next step involved racing as there is no substitute for racing to teach your body what is involved in middle-distance track racing (namely, lots of pain) like you won’t experience when running longer distances.

This then became an iterative process as the coach adjusted my training based on racing performances and what worked and what didn’t.

Eventually, the training group wasn’t working with my schedule and I left and trained myself, which sort of worked as well.

And here is an image which is not of me doing what I’m talking about. It’s just some random photo of me at a race a few weeks ago. I have no photos of what I described … sorry

I was always fascinated by horse riding, so I decided to join a horse riding school. My learning path was the following: the first step was learning how not to be afraid of the horse, as it is such a large and strong animal. Secondly, learning basic commands and developing my balance skills in order not to fall off the horse. After that I moved on to more complex and faster walks such as trot, canter and gallop. And finally learning how to jump.

I learnt from youtube and some decoration experts wanted to hire me to do that to their clients. It is quite simple... you have to get all the material you need: paper, glue, scisors, and the special cooking spatula used as I had no other. Match the drawing before you start, it is important, so measure it. Fold the paper full of glue (yes, there is a correct way to fold and not waste the paper). Then you unfold it from top of the wall to the bottom. Just repeat the process along the wall. You get better as you practice it.

I learnt to play the didgeridoo. I bought a didgerido in Sydney and decided I should learn how to play it. I started off Googling how to play. Intially it was awful but I persisted. Once I could play a little bit, I set about learning circular breathing. Again, I read about how. It took me about eight months to play adequately. I have since made my own didgerido and bought another one I can take when I travel. It takes patience. Patience. And more patience. Remind yourself "I can do this!"
