I chose this poem because as soon as I started reading this it reminded me about me getting a perfect score on my spelling tests. When I reached the last stanza it also reminded of when I didn't get a single answer right on my spelling test. I can connect to all of the poem!

The poet includes the second stanza to change your thinking and realized that he didn't get a single answer right because I thought he got a perfect 100.
He actually got a 0. The form of this poem is humorous because the last two lines made me giggle when I found out he din't get a single answer right instead of getting all the answers right!

Everything We Learn at School by Kenn Nesbitt

I chose this poem because when I read it, thoughts of everything I have learned over the years passed through my head.

I felt confused when reading stanza 2 when I realized that geography was in social studies, but in further years of school it becomes its own class. I think that elementary schools can't have many teachers, so we fit all those classes into a giant one like social studies. The poet includes lines 11 and 12 to make you think. Literally speaking the rest or the last class would be History, but it also can mean that everything else would be history or the past. The poet capitalized the ''h'' in History like he did with the other classes, so I don't know what he could mean.

I chose this poem because of how hilarious it is. At the end, it reminded me of my friend Brooke. She tells me at our practice that she sometimes falls asleep in her class!

The lines 15 and 16 are important because the entire poem was telling the reader or making the reader think that they were good students until the last two lines saying that they're not polite. They just fall asleep! An image in my mind while reading this poem was the class shooting paper wads at each other and paper airplanes being thrown at the air.

I chose this poem because the when I read the title, I felt it was going to be easy, but also a challenging poem, so I excepted the challenge.

The phrase (without the numbers) ''IT ALSO MEANS THAT MY COMPUTER'S KEYBOARD FELL APART.''is important because it explains the whole reason why this poem was typed so weird. I felt confused and joyful because it took me a while to understand the poem, but also why he decided to write it in this strange typing. I felt joyful because after the last line explaining everything, reading it again was hilarious imagining him typing this and there being sparks and other funny things happening.

I've Started Learning Honkish by Ken Nesbitt

I chose this poem because of how silly the title sounded. When I read the title I thought ''What? That can not be a language.'' So as I read I was thinking why would he learn languages that would not often come in handy. The only reason he did it was to annoy his teacher!

The structure of this poem is humorous. I know this poem is humorous because it continued to make me laugh. There were so many weird languages that nobody speaks! The picture in the poem shows a boy speaking or maybe yelling into a megaphone. I know that a megaphone doesn't often have a honking noise. It usually has a siren noise. Megaphones do annoy people, so it would go with annoying his teacher!

I chose this poem because when I read the title, I realized that I have only had science homework once, but when I looked at the picture I knew this was going to be a wild and crazy poem!

This poem is titled Science Homework most likely because it talks about his science homework, and why he couldn't turn it in. The images created in my mind was a weird, slimy, and tan blob slithering around the house and opening its giant mouth to show razor sharp teeth.

I chose this poem because as soon as I read the title, I knew I could connect to it. As I started reading the poem the moments of when I learned the things he listed flashed across my mind, also some things I haven't learned made me question how to do it. The last stanza also made me question and think about things I've heard about.

Lines 17-20 are included in the poem because they make you think about some things. These lines made me think about all the ways the education system could make schools better and make it a better environment to learn. It also made think about how I've heard people call school a ''factory'' for how things are and how they work. The images created in my mind was me throughout the years of elementary school and what I've learned. One of the images was me sitting at my desk happily as a kindergartner listening to my teacher.
