This course felt like a breeze while also helping me understand every piece of information we were given! I used to look at technology in the classroom as a negative because of how often we used it, but now I see it is much more than that. Technology is great for collaboration and cooperation, helps with professional development, and is great for assessments.

I now understand how to use my online resources better when I become a teacher! If I made any improvements it would be to do more in the classroom! It's hard to find time to do so sometimes, but it felt awkward just going into a classroom once and teaching them without really knowing them.

Personal Expectation

I personally didn't have much of an idea of what this class would be like or what it would include. However, I was proud of myself for staying on top of the assignments and even participating in the zoom group project. Doing group projects in an online class seems more nerve racking for me so I am proud of myself with following through on the assignment.

Lastly, I loved doing little projects for some of the projects! Although, personally I found it more difficult when doing my assignments and having to choose from websites I had never used before. It made my assignments feel longer having to sign into them and figure out how to use them. It was fun to learn about new tools out there but some of them weren't even useable due to the limits of the free trial.

Favorite Tool

My favorite tech tools I personally used during my observation were the assistive technologies. They helped me understand how helpful they are for the students and now I'm more prepared to use them if they are needed in my own classroom! I tried using the comic tech tool and it was fun to put together, but didn't end up working because I could only do three slides. I enjoy Canva and Padlet has been the best other option.

Plan to Implement

I plan on focusing on the cooperating and collaboration aspect of technology in the classroom. I want my classroom to be project based so it will be focused on collaborating with others already. I also want to go out of my way to expose my students to social media and the dangers as we just talked about in our last unit.
