         <title>1. Storming of the Bastille</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Bastille was a prison that tortured and mistreated there prisoners. Only the 3rd estate went to jail. The Bastille was a sign of power and dominance over the citizens. On July 14th the 3rd estate stormed the Bastille. They stole the weapons, released the prisoners, and killed the guards. The impact of this event was that this started the revolution and the 3rd estate now had weapons.</div>]]></description>

         <title>2. Women&#39;s March on Versailles</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>6,000 women marched 18 miles in the pouring rain from (the capitol)Paris to the Palace of Versailles. As they marched they shouted "bread".They wanted the king to return to Paris to see how his people really lived. The impact of this event in the revolution was that they forced king Louie and queen Marie to move from the Palace of Versailles to the city of Paris so the French Monarchs could be watched over closely. </div>]]></description>

         <title>3. King Louie and Marie Flee to Austria</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the night they dressed up as peasants and tried to flee to Austria. They got caught&nbsp; by an actual peasant in the act of fleeing and got sent back to Paris. The national assembly took away absolute monarchy. The king and queen were fearful of death. The impact of this event was that the king and and queen were noticing that they needed backup and the national assembly was winning.</div>]]></description>

         <title>5. Committee of Public Safety</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Committee of Public Safety prepared France for an all out war. they required all citizens to contribute to the war. They were in charge of trials. The leader was Maximilian Robespierre and people called him a tyrant. The impact of this was that France was ready for all out war.</div>]]></description>

         <title>4.Execution of King Louie and Marie</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>King Louie got put on trial as a traitor of France. He was beheaded. French citizens reached up and tried to catch the  kings blood. Marie was guilty of treason and months later was sentenced to death also. The impact of this was that the king and queen were dead the dictatorship was over.</div>]]></description>

         <title>6. Reign of Terror</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The reign of terror started Sept. 1793 and ended July 1794. The Reign of Terror silence all critics of the new government. 300,000 people were arrested and 17,000 people were executed in less than a year. The impact of the reign of terror was that it kept the people in check right after the revolution and kept the country together.</div>]]></description>
