when Turtle met her uncle It is different because he is quiet Bean's is a little nicer, Buddy has fewer accidents, and Aunt Minnie is not so tired and they started to sew together get to know each other and he is different than Archie because Archie brings them gifts and Her uncle doesn't.

Killie the horse was an old man riding a horse drawn wagon coming down the lane. And the horse looks like its going to drop dead any minute. And the man does not look much better. He is wearing filthy old clothes and has a wild, whiskery beard. The wagon is piled high with all sorts of trash.

Turtle's exspince with the "beef" stew was that she had 3 bowls but, then she was told that it was not beef stew but turtle stew. （°ο°）

the experience Turtle had with the beef stew was she thought is was very good and she even had three bowls of it but then a little bit later after meeting her uncle she went to sew with him and he said ''how are you settling in here'' then she said ''i am not used to having cousins'' and then he says ''you'll get used to them. i see you have already acquired a taste for turtle '' and then she says ''i thought it was beef!'' that simbolieses that she was suprised that it was turtle and not beef and then she said she was feeling sick because she ate turtle so her first taste she liked it but she did not know it was turle.

Turtle had a lets just say that Turtle had a unpleasent experience with the "beef" stew. Because it was actually TURTLE STEW!!!!!

Plus who would want to eat something that they are named after.

The Beef stew wasn't actually beef it was something else for example "I see you've already acquired a taste for turtle he says what? I ask He looks amused Dinner. that was three bolls of turtle soup you had, you know I thought it was beef! I say feeling slightly sick." This shows that Turtle didn't feel comfortable eating turtle soup she thought it was like eating herself in her perspective.

When Turtle tells that mama had not changed it means. In the book Turtle says " This is why I worry about mama. She's always getting zany ideas. I don't know what she'd do without me to figure things out." This shows that Mama has not changed one bit and even if the book doesn't say that Turtle wants to go back home and help her mom she still does and I can tell because Turtle says " Mama's head is so high in the clouds, I'm surprised she doesn't bump into Amelia Earhart". This shows that she knows 100% that her mom has not changed one bit and Turtle is getting worried that her mom really needs her.

Uncle Vernon is aunt Minnies husband. Life is different because he's got a quiet way. Buddy doesen't have a lot of acedents. Beans is a little bit nicer. Turtle got to know him by talking and having a conversation with him and listening to little orphan Annie . He is way different from Archie because he does not bring aunt Minnie perfumes -Je Reviens in a tall blue glass bottle that looks like a skyskraper - and pretty things for Turtle. And he doesn't take aunt Minnie out for a fancy dinner and take her dancing after. He doesn't buy treats like Archie does.

Uncle Vernon was Turtles uncle and the boy's dad. They called him Poppy. Life was different with him around because, Turtle thought Bean's was a lot more quiet, Buddy had less accidents and Aunt Minnie was less tired all the time. Turtle thought he had a different personality than all of them because he had this quiet but working personality. Turtle got to know Uncle Vernon because Uncle Vernon was sewing up a hole in a shirt near the elbow and Turtle was surprised because shed never seen a boy they can sew. So Uncle Vernon asked if she could sew and she said yes so he handed her Buddy's pants at the bottom. Then Turtle asked if he could put "Little orphan Annie" on the radio and he said yes. Uncle Vernon is different from Archie because Archie would take Turtle and her Mama out for dinner and buying them stuff that they couldn't buy. But Uncle Vernon is a nice and hard working dad but doesn't take out for dinner or buy them stuff like perfumes.

First of all Uncle Vernon is Turtles Uncle and is very nice. Life is different with Uncle Vernon around because in the story Turtle says."Uncle Vernon doesn't buy treats like Archie, but things are different with him in the house. Beans is a little nicer, Buddy has fewer accidents, and Aunt Minnie doesn't seem so tired. Uncle Vernon's got a quite way around him." This shows that Aunt Minnie's house hold is a touch calmer and more understandable you could say. Also something different in there house with him in the house is he sews. For example in the story it says."It's just Uncle Vernon and me. He pulls a sewing box down from the shelf and takes it into the parlor, where he sits by a lamp. He threads a needle, picks and up a shirt from a basket of clothes needing and mending." This shows that Turtle now has someone to talk to and does not need to struggle with Beans, Buddy, and Kermit all the time she could hang out with Uncle Vernon when he is there instead. Turtle got to know Uncle Vernon because Turtle can sew. For example in the story it says. "Gee, I never met a man who could sew," I say. My Daddy taught me. He was an old Conch sailor. He always said you should know how to mend your own sail. and "How are you settling in here? Uncle Vernon asks. I'm not used to having cousins. I admit. You'll get used to them. I see you've already acquired a taste for Turtle." This shows that Uncle Vernon is learning more about Turtle and Turtle is learning more about Uncle Vernon. I think that Uncle Vernon is different from Archie because in the story it says." Whenever Archie comes back from a sales trip, it's like Christmas. He buys perfume for Mama-JeRevins in a tall blue glass bottle that looks like a skyscraper and pretty things for me, like mother of pearl comb and brush sets." This shows that Archie goes all out when he comes home from a sales trip because when Archie comes home it is very straight forward.
