Why were concentration camps made and how many were made. If these camps were never made what would our world be like now

Concentration camps were made to eliminate "enemies of the state". The people that were so called enemies of the state were Jews, Roman people, Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals, disabled people, communists, social democrats and trade unionists. The other reason Hitler made concentration camps was because he wanted to eliminate small groups of people, like religions that he didn't like or people he found dangerous. If we had concentration camps today there would be wars and outrages in all countries. People would be scared and hide, you might have to act like a different person because you don't want to be killed or taken away.

Were kids treated differently than adults while in the camps and how rough do you think the kids had it in the camps?

While in concentration camps, kids and elderly people were treated horribly. If you were over 55 or under 18, at death camps you would be sent to a gas chamber. Kids in concentration camps had it very rough. Some were beaten for talking back or not doing as they were told. If you were caught running away or trying to you would be either killed or tortured. They had to work from the crack of dawn till it's dark. They weren't feed well and sometimes survived had to survive of a bowl of soup.

Did people ever get let out of concentration camps, how many people escaped and how many people died whilst escaping Ashwitz? What could you do to escape without getting caught?

When concentration camps were first made there were a lot of people being released, usually after 3 months you would be released. there were almost 200 people that escaped from the camp and 25 that got out and got caught. There were around 40 people that died while escaping. It would be very hard to escape and almost impossible to escape during the winters. You would either starve, get caught or freeze. You might be able to get away if you got sheets or more clothes. The food was usually soup because it's easy to make and feeds a lot of people. It would be hard to bring soup with you because its not like there were plastic bags or Tupperware containers. You might of been able to escape with a car or train. If you could sneak on and not get seen you could run away.

How do you think people would feel if there friends or family were in a camp. If there were concentration camps today what could we do to help?

If we had concentration camps today there would be wars all around the world. People would be scared and probably hide. Prices would increase and material prices would increase a lot. People would probably stock up on things and stay home for long periods at once, like during covid. You would have to be careful when doing certain things like having lights on at night. If there were concentration camps today, you might be able to stay safe by: Turning lights off, Not exposing/putting information into sites you don't know, Having somewhere to go in case something happens. It's always safe to have somewhere to go or somewhere to hide.
