What are the ways in which Ralph angel can change his entrapping niche to an enabling one? If at all, can people make this difference themselves or does it depend on the people in their environment and ecological system?

I think that Ralph Angel could begin an effort change his entrapping niche to enabling by first focusing on his personal relationships and reputation within the community.

Being labeled as a felon has many known impacts on people psychologically, including a negative view of self that often leads to behaviors that are not accepted by those around them.

Overall, Ralph Angel would have to put a large focus on not letting the negative words or viewpoints of others impact him.

Is it possible for black people to oppress other black people? If so, how, and how does this relate to what Ralph Angel is experiencing?

I believe it is possible for black people to oppress other blacks as oppression can range from small things such as micro-aggressions up to legislative passings. This could be small comments or even bills being passed that were OK'd by a person of color.

Ralph Angel is experiencing this from his family. While they may not intend to, they often treat him in ways that make Ralph Angel feel as if he cannot meet his full potential.
