He addresses to some of the extreme weather conditions being experienced all around the globe, stating that even the current warming level of 1 degree celcius causes so many problems and indicates that any further increase would be catastrophic.

He follows up by citing the above-mentioned report on what would happen if should our hopes to set the warming at maximum of 1.5 degrees fail. According to given examples of consequences (it is better to leave this out as it hinders with meaning), the author warns that water levels would rise higher than today, stressing %50 more people around the world. Insects and plantation would lose half of their habitats and %99 of coral reefs would be destroyed. Moreover, Watts carries on with the rising acidity and decreasing oxygen concentration of seas and oceans, caused by overvaporization, aquatic life would fall into serious danger. Next, Watts mentions the course of action that IPCC strongly suggests to adopt before it is too late, which includes policies such as reforestation and implementing electric transportation system. In conclusion, he shares his opinion on how the commitment levels of people fall short of sufficing to make a difference and states that he hopes the IPCC report will raise awareness on the matter, which should highly concern all humans.

The author reports some information and data bases from the report by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
(IPCC) to prove his claims (state briefly what does this report include? you do not need generic expressions like this in your summaries). First the author states that according to the report by IPCC expected climate change has already come and a single change in the global temperature would make  have worse the results worse. Because of 1 °C change there has been natural disasters such as wild fires, flood and articl ice melting around the world and if this increase continues, poverty will rise up and the balance of the nature will be disturbed. Following this, the author states some ideas from=refers (a more academic way of expressing it) IPCC to immobilize the increase of global temperature only 1.5 degrees Celsius. They recommend changing their style to use technology and in land use to achieve their goals . He also mentions /stresses the  use electrical vehicles to and replanting areas with trees=reforestation. With these electrical vehicles carbon pollution will also decrease. At last the Last but not the least the author highlights that the increase of global temperature is more than targeted level. According to Watts still many people don't take seriously the urgency and importance of this topic and precautions are not enough. He hopes that this report will increase awareness about climate change before it is too late.

In the article “We have 12 years to limit climate change catastrophe, warns UN” Watts (2018) discusses the importance of time in dealing with climate change crisis and reasons for climate changeing. The author stresses that according to the Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change(IPCC), the rise in temperatures which is 1.5C yet, has happened earlier than predicted. Even though it does not seem much of a difference, the consequences of this change are too many such as deaths, droughts, wild fires. He also wants from his readers to consider (warns the readers about) the  probability and the consequences of what would happen if it would be a 2C degrees rise which he thinks it will happen unless people take precautions. Furthermore he shares some pathways ,mentioned by the IPCC, to avoid from the more global warming temperature risings. While he concludes his sentences he also implies his hopes towards people so that they can think for further and avoid the painful consequences by taking the latest report into consideration.

He mentions that there is a alarm bell from science community and we should take it seriously to save people (state the problems climate change has cuased so for and why are they alarming?). He also gives advice about what to do to prevent these negative affects (state the solution in a clear manner). He particularize what is the difference between 1.5 degree and 2 degree change (explain what is the difference?).

In the article ‘’Clean Energy Won’t Save Us’’ by Hickel (2016, July), the author contradicts with the general opinion on an ideal solution for global warming and he shares his idea on how to refrain from worsening the climate change. He starts by stating that today humans have become more and more aware of the existence of the climate change, as undeniably visible examples appeared in many parts of Earth. He then expresses the urgency to stop using fossil fuels, which are one of the main causes of global warming, and replace them with clean, renewable energy. But he adds that even though clean energy is a must, it won’t necessarily be our salvation. Because although we would then avoid any more CO2 emission from human activities, production of other greenhouse gases like methane and nitrous dioxide would still continue. He explains that along with carbon dioxide, these gases also cause warming considerably and they are enough to put the final nail in the coffin. He suggests that in order for us to survive, we first need to alter our economic system, which endorses continuous production and growth. He follows up by with addressing (with + noun / by + Ving) the negative effects the current economic system already has on people in both social and environmental aspects because it follows the logic of ever-increasing consumption and therefore obligates us to adopt rapidness in our lives, the author associates it with unhappiness and overwork. Finally he urges us readers to imagine a economic system which focuses on our well-being and on the other hand cares for the environment. He mentions the likelihood of such system and states that few countries already set an example of it.
