I really enjoyed this read. While it is not specifically marketed as a math education book, the author, Jo Boaler, is a education professor at Stanford and was a math education student herself and much of the material within this book relate back to math ed as a result of those consequences. A great read!

Su does an amazing job at capturing human desires and how mathematics takes a role in every single one of them. Not only that, he ends each chapter (that is titled after a human desire) with related math problems that you can explore on your own!
