It is critical that children are able to spend time with each other in a way that is respectful and harmonious even as the world becomes more fragmented and even more deeply fractured.
Social scientists, have thus, underscored the need for young children to be prepared to engage with diversity in a positive and proactive manner.

Apart from schools, parents and caregivers also play an important role in nurturing in children a welcoming and embracing mind-set towards the differences they observe around them and to build conversations around values and empathy.

Inclusivity is an ideal situation for any society in this tumultuous world we live in, though hard to emulate, it's possible to create in the society of Singapore. In our society, inclusiveness is deeply enshrined in our lives through our political, economical and social systems such as the Presidential Council of Minority Rights (PCMR) which enforces laws that protect the interests of minorities in Singapore. It creates the platform for minority groups to be vocal about their personal issues and struggles in multi-racial Singapore. In our social settings, we have the Ethnic Integration Policy where there is ethnic quotas placed on public housing which mandates the number of families coming from different races. This fosters a social setting whereby everybody gets to interact and understand other cultures better, therefore building this inclusive atmosphere that contributes to the growth of our country.Through these various programs, Singapore has successfully achieved a society that caters to minority groups, ultimately evolving into a more inclusive society.
