According to the website "Haratio", the plague was a terrible disease that came in many outbreaks between 1563 and 1603. The first and last outbreaks in 1563 and 1603 were considered the worst cases. Both epidemics wiped out over 25% of London's population. Some symptoms of the plague were high fever, convulsions, delirium, and many more. The plague is caused by the bacteria Yersinia Pestis.

As stated in "EuroHistoryMed", before the plague disease medicine was actually considered to be controlled by God. It was thought that illness was just Gods way of punishment. This time period is when scientific theories were first starting to be explored. Doctors wore masks that were beak shaped so they didn't breathe the sick air from their patients. Doctors had weird ways of treatment but they were interesting. For example, plague doctors tried curing the disease with leeches, with strong odors, with lucky charms, they even tried dipping patients in mercury and putting them in the oven to "ward off" the disease.

On "The History Learning Site" it says all doctors had their own beliefs and treatments depending on their belief. Although many doctors shared some common methods of treatment. For example many doctors would treat a toothache by by burning a candle close to the tooth and it would make all the worms that are gnawing on the tooth fall out of the patients mouth into a cup. A lot of doctors also practiced using blood letting, which is where they drain all the blood from a certain part of your body, to let the toxins escape with the blood.

On the website "Medieval Chronicles" it says that most common skin diseases in the 15-1600s were caused by poor hygiene. These diseases were more common in the peasants and the townspeople. Insects that lived in their clothing like lice irritated their skin and caused rashes. They didn't bathe often because they would have to bring in water from a well or lake and it was a lot of work.

The website "Medieval Chronicles" it gives a lot of information about many diseases in the 15-1800s such as the Measels, Small pox, and Chicken pox. These diseases spread because of human to human contact but the people of the 1600s didn't know that. All three of those diseases caused scarring, blisters, high fevers, and sometimes they caused death. All the doctors had their own belief of what caused the disease and they all had their own way of treatment.
