" There is a school located in a remote place where your students speak an indigenous language as their first language and they are learning Spanish as the second one. The people are culturally diverse and open to everyone, however, they do not count with conventional classrooms. As a bilingual teacher, what would you consider to create a learning environment there?

Don't Stop using grammar approach but limit it ..make it more fun and engaging..Use demonstration to start with and add videos to aid in teaching the students.Make sure when teaching a Grammar topic, add students topic of interest to it to make it more engaging.
Example: Verb to be.This can be taught using family and friends to talk about it . "she is my friend".. select one or two students to stand infront of the class and point them out saying "she is my friend" Hug them and add body language and then ask students to tell the class who their friends are using the phrase "she or he is my friend" .This makes the class more engaging and also more student centered.

Focusing on implementing a Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) would be a suitable approach for helping the Ss to achieve the main goal related to learning a SL. By analyzing real life situations, the Ss will be using the SL (Focusing on the message rather than the form), and as well as improving their thinking skills.
