On November 2017, a North Korean soldier was shot several times by his fellow soldiers while making desperate dash across the border in South Korea. North Koreans cannot travel freely overseas, cannot read newspapers and magazines of foreign countries. North Korea rejects all charges of human rights abuses in the country. The Korean government is a Dictatorship, meaning that the people have no rights and is being run by only one leader.

people in north Korea can not travel overseas and are not allowed to read news papers from other countries as well as the internet is also banned. it is a criminal offence for north Koreans to leave the country without government permission but thousands make the journey every year to escape the country by trying to cross the Yalu and Tu men Rivers on the boarder. most of north Korea's history is kept a secret to the public so if you visit a library you cannot view the history of the country unless you have government permission.

In North Korea, the supreme leader, or the leader of that country is believed to be almost god-like and means well to those all in the country. They also isolate all of the residents of the country from the outside world in order to not expose them to the knowledge of how people are supposed to live and how terrible their condition is. Finally, they enforce propaganda to further perpetuate their agenda and make everyone believe that their country is the best on earth. One other thing they do is have heavy military enforcement to make sure there are no plans for citizens to escape or defame the supreme leader of the country.

Aside from saber-rattling, the government maintains little communication with the outside world The nation has so little electricity that, in the ultimate metaphor, nighttime satellite imagery shows North Korea gone dark, the only country in the world not illuminated. Travelers are only allowed to move within a circumscribed part of Pyongyang and are chaperoned and surveilled by government officials. They don't have the right to express emotion
