The Civil Rights Movement used grassroots actions like protests to gain Federal attention. These protests were usually lead by a respected leader , like Rosa Parks in the Bus Boycott, which attracted the attention of many people. The protests that got out of control attracted the attention of the federal government causing them to fix the problem.

2.  The oppositions that the civil rights movement faced was from the whites of the south. Resistance was prominent during moments like the Little Rock Nine. Southerners did not want their schools to be desegregated and felt that the government was being to powerful by ruling no segregation in schools.

3. The civil rights movement achieved some of its goal of equality by protesting. Protests like Bloody Sunday opened the eyes of many Americans who were denying racial injustice as a prominent problem. incidents like the Bombing of the Baptists Church of 16th street also opened the eyes of many who didn't see racism as a problem.

4. Debates among civil rights activist increased because many believed that is wasn't only the Black community that was suppressed in this time but also women. The civil rights activists debated on who got their crights. Many debates were over the fight for only a certain group to gain civil rights when many different groups needed
