From chapter 3 it says, “Choosing a financial planner is as important as choosing a doctor or lawyer; its a very personal relationship (Financial Experts pg9.) So not only will this be important so that your money is handeled in the right way but it also has to be someone who cares about what decisions you are making and wants the best system for your money.

I would was someone who will have integrity, trust, and a commitment to what I also want and has high professional standards. The book says, “You want a planner who puts your needs and interests first” (FInancial Experts pg10.) This way, they won’t just get you to do something for their benefit in money, but they will want the best for your money.

So that I know that they have had experience in this type of area and are well educated. I would want someone who cares about my interests but will also suggest what they thing will help me. Also I would want someone who knows me and my needs and is not just trying to sell something to me for my money. An example of this in the text states, “An adviser with a large book of business may be a great salesman, but not necessarily a great financial planner” (Financial Experts pg11.)
