  • Born in Devon in 1772.
  • Studied at Jesus College but never graduated . 
  • In 1794 he became close friend with Southey and they planned to found a 'Pentisocracy'
  • In 1797 he met William Wordsworth and he changes his political ideals. 
  • In 1800 they both settled in Lake DIstrict.
  • He died in 1834
