Before I could only use/understand the present tense in Spanish, now I can understand and use the past tense in the preterite form and the imperfect form! There is a lot more that I can now do as well! For example, I can now substitute words with Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns, I can give commands, I can substitute with pronouns, I can use/identify reflexive verbs, I now know the difference between similar verbs (ex. saber & conocer) and much more! . I can use the present and past tense when talking about many subjects including: school & hobbies, apartment/living, family, food, shopping, and community/accidents/air flights.

I can confidently speak, read, and write in Spanish at a more advanced level than I could before.

Cuando yo estaba en España tuve que ir a la escuela. En la escuela tenia tres clases. Hay el cálculo, el teatro, y la física. En la escuela yo estaba en el club de fotografía, porque me encanta sacar fotos. Cada mañana para preparase yo lave los dientes y me vestí.

Viví con mi familia anfitriona. Carlos y Carla son esposo y esposa. Su hija Ana estaba

muy bien educada. Ed, el bisabuela vivió en la casa de la familia también.  Mi familia en España tenían cinco mascotas.

Encontré mi apartmento en un sitio web. El apartment era muy bonito. Compré mucho de muebles. También me compré una lavadora, una secadora, y lavavajillas en de la tienda de electrodomésticos.

Tuve que comer comida nueva cuando estaba en España. Mis platos favoritos para comer en España eran las empanadas y el arroz con pollo. La comida en España era muy Bueno! Para mantener mi salud cuando yo estaba de España me comí la comída del pirámide de salud.

Me fui de compras en el centro commercial en de Madrid frecuentemente. Una día me compré muchas ropas en el centro commercial. Compré sudaderas, un impermeable, los zapatos de tenis y sandalias. Fui al Rastro de vez en cunado. En el Rastro compré recuerdos, pinturas, y tarjeta postales para me familia en casa. El Rastro era increíble!

Hubo dos accidentes in España cuando yo estaba allí. Fui testigo de un accidente. Una día hubo un incendio. El incendio destruía el edificio y todo en el edificio. Los paramédicos y los bomberos rescataban a todas las personas. 

Cuando me fui a casa, tuve que ir al aeropuerto, Yo tenia que tener itinerario, una tarjeta de embarque, y todo mi equipaje. También tuve que atravesar un inspección de seguridad. Despues de todo eso, yo estaba listo para ir a casa!

In English the nouns are not gender specific.

· Adjectives come AFTER the noun while speaking/writing in Spanish. Typically when speaking/writing in English the adjectives come before the nouns.

· An obvious difference is that the Spanish alphabet uses accents and the English alphabet does not.

They celebrate all kinds of stuff like: Las Fallas, Carnaval, and MUCH more!! When Spain celebrates they go “all out”!! Just one thing that I found interesting is that in Spain a lot of places close to have a break in mid-day to go home and rest, eat, spend time with family, etc.

Learning Spanish online was definitely different than learning it in a class room environment. With that being said, I enjoyed the online environment better. I was able to learn the curriculum on my own pace, if I didn’t understand something I was always provided some help, on the other note, if I did understand something I could just keep working on my own pace.

The Culture Activities were my favorite assignments because we were able to learn about the culture of Spain, more thoroughly. I can only think of one thing that needed “improvement” would be that sometimes the audio files would not work in some of the quizzes (but that may have been something that happened because of my computer)

I also always practiced, especially with speaking. In the future, I will have the videos and links that we were provided. Also, I think the "notes" presentations and the RLC's were the most helpful. I feel like they were very thorough and easy to understand!

If I ever had a question, she always answered in a timely matter and in a way that was easy to understand. All of the learning blocks that she posted were always very informative on what we had coming up and what we were working on that particular week.
