This gravestone has the inscription "Here lies Mynnia to the sorrow of her mother". This carving depicts a young woman (Mynnia) shaking hands with a seated figure who is wearing a hooded robe with her head bowed down (the mother). The handshake was a common symbol on Greek gravestones to represent unity between family even after death. The little girl between the two is described as Artemisia, thought to be Mynnia's younger sister, and she is shown offering comfort to her mother in her sorrow. Death and the accompanying sorrow is something that everyone will experience at some point in their life, and its comforting to know that a mother and sister over 2,000 years ago have felt similar pain and emotions as we do in our current day. It connects us all.

This poem is one I remember reading for the first time in 7th grade and it has been one of my favorites ever since. Poe expresses his pain following the death of his wife Virginia who died young. In the poem, he laments the death of his love, how they fell in love as children, and that their love was so powerful the angles in Heaven were jealous and that is why they 'took' Annabel Lee from the narrator.

This is a Spanish song full of righteous rage. It speaks out against the violence against women in Mexico. Throughout the song, there's a steady fast pace, which reminds me of a racing heart, and when I'm angry, my heart speeds up. The women singing have a powerful voice that speaks across languages.

This ode to a friend, this song displays the devoted love the narrator has for their friend, no matter the circumstances, they will be there. When people think of Love they typically think of romantic love first, but as the Greeks said, there are different kinds of love. Eros, being romantic, Storge, familial love, and Philia, which is the love between friends. In this triad I aimed to show those three, and how they are all equally important, and universal to the human experience, and humans want to create art that demonstrates and shows their love for one another.

One head is trying to get away, while the other is in wonder over the pain and struggle, we put ourselves through trying to control our situations-and anger is a way to attempt control-just to get a moments respite and some happiness.

This poem is written in anger and frustration about the leaders who govern us and make decisions about war. They have the power of life and death at the tip of their fingertips, all it takes is a signature on a paper to end a war and start one. For as long as humanity has been around, wars and battles have been fought for various reasons, and most of the time they incite anger among other dark emotions.
