         <description><![CDATA[<div>On the home front, which was Australia. The Australian government created and distributed propaganda for multiple reasons; to calm the Australian population, to encourage the population to stay quite with international communication.<br>This effected society as it provided an askew/bias view of what the government wanted the people to see of the war.&nbsp;<br>Censorship was big during the Second World War, however it was not as subtle as it may be today. The Australian government often used black ink to cross out sentences in letters from and to their soldiers which they believed could reveal important information or distract a soldier from his duty.<br>this active display of censorship had effects on the families of the soldiers who were at service, as families lost belief in the australian government believing they were hiding information from them, which they were</div>]]></description>
