Many good things were started in Mesopotamia when the Sumerians turned it in to a farmland. Two new techniques made things easier. One of them was irrigation. Irrigation was a system for watering crops. They could keep their crops nice and fresh on a really hot or dry day. The other one was the plow. The plow made digging easier. Instead of digging with bare hands, they simply dragged the plow and it made a hole to put in the seeds to plants new crops.
