1) Oracy: Students will express their opinions on assigned topics in a conference setting (3-4 persons per group)

2) Research: Students will learn to use ChatGPT and other online resources as a research tool. Students will submit their research documentation templates showing the research, thinking & editing process before conducting the conference in Week 5.

Learning outcome 学习目标:

1) Oracy skills口语能力: Students will learn the structure of an expository essay, this time in a spoken form. The structure of the conference is aligned with the structure of expository essay.

a) As a group, students will need to speak coherently with clear introduction and conclusion, each member linking their speech to next member’s points.

b) At individual level, every group member will present their opinions in PEEL structure.

 2) Research skills资料查找和处理: Students will learn to use ChatGPT in a discerning & responsible way, by engaging in critical and adaptive thinking. This includes

a) finding and selecting information

b) integrating and refining information found online with their own elaborations.

c) enhance ChatGPT input by adding various sources of evidence.
