For me, communication assists individuals with communicating their thoughts and sentiments, and simultaneously, it helps us with understanding the feelings and musings of others. It builds up one's abilities in communication through listening, talking, perusing, etc. It is likewise possible through our facial expressions, hand signals, or even on our body poses. Through powerful communication, there’s mutual understanding. As Anthony Robbins states, “To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.”

            One significant moment in my life is when I won the title ‘Bai Naliyagan 2019’, where I’ve competed with stunning ladies coming from the different municipality in the Province of Agusan del Sur. It became so memorable for the reason that it was really my first time, and probably the last time, joining a pageant. Being able to compete and win thrice in National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) as a Copyreading and Headling Writing (CRHW) participant was also one of my shining moments. 

            That being said, it is given that I always use communication to interact as a tourism ambassador in our province and also as a journalist. When there are two or more individuals sharing their beliefs, ideas and attitudes, communication is already present in such interactions. 

            So what is communication? 

            “Communication is the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs”-American College Dictionary.

            Its definition is very wide-range that anybody can define it subjectively. But fact is, without common understanding, communication is then considered ineffective. 

For me communication is a deep connection. It’s not just about producing sound or creating gestures but something that takes us to place where we feel safe and understood.

 

In a world full of computers and digital tools. Where pressure and chaos are evident, we often question our purpose. Specially in this crisis, we somehow isolate ourselves, deceiving other people and hiding our own feelings simply because we don’t wan to be a burden. This is where communication takes an important role. To reach out on people that we think are unreachable and happy. Communication isn’t just a normal greeting; it’s expressing the true emotions we have inside, to be transparent. To understand and to be understood.

 Communication comes in different forms. And the only way for us to communicate effectively is to understand and accept these differences. Because at the end of the day, no man is an island. We all need to rely on each other.

Communication is the act of giving, receiving, and sharing information in other words, talking or writing, and listening or reading. Good communicators listen carefully, speak or write clearly, and respect different opinions. Communication can be verbal and non-verbal and it takes one or more persons. Verbal communication is the spoken or written conveyance of a message. Non-Verbal is the transmission of messages or signals through a nonverbal platform such as eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, posture, and the distance between two individuals. Through communication, people exchange and share information with one another and influence one another's attitudes, behaviors, and understandings.

For me, communication is the action of exchanging information be it through verbal exchange or through letters and most commonly chatting online, there's also E-mail, communication is one of the backbone of todays society without communication our world would be soo different from what it is today.
