The winters are cold and summers are warm. But the average temperature is 10 degrees celsius. It also has a bad food supply which causes animals to migrate or hibernate during the winter.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Animals like Black bears, Raccoons, Sitka deer, Roosevelt elk, and banana slugs live here. They all have their own ways of life and adaptations in order to survive in this biome. Many of the animals here migrate or hibernate. some store food during the cooler months, lots have claws and sharp teeth.<br><br>Plants like the Douglas Fir,  Oregon Oxalis, Sitka Spruce, Coastal redwood live in this area. These trees have special adaptations in order to survive. Some trees have bark that allows them to survive extreme heat, There are evergreen trees that lose no leaves and are green all year round. But there are also deciduous trees that lose all leaves in order to maintain and save water supply and allow sunlight to reach places that normally don't get sun.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Well, throughout this specific forest,  the animals must be able to adapt in order to survive. But when a plant or animal cant adapt they will die. The number of plants and animals is determined by this. And the different types of animals will either eat what they are adapted to or learn how to adapt to eat something else. Each time an animal eats something they get ten percent of the energy from what they ate. And that is how the energy changes throughout.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Spotted Owl- These animals rest in tree holes in order to catch some of their dinner. They have thick feathers to insulate them,  and they can also lose feathers to stay cool during the summer. <br><br><br>Pacific Tree Frog-  Pacific Tree frogs have special adaptations such as sticky toe pads, which help them climb trees and stick to flat tilted surfaces. They also eat a wide variety of  Arthopods. They have slime that also helps to keep them insulated.</div>]]></description>

They are massive! Thick bark allows them to survive through all temperatures.Some pine needles are flat and some are sharp, in order to receive certain amounts of sunlight. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Humans are the number one threat to the Temperate Rainforest.  The reason for this is because we are constantly using trees for a lot of our every day needs. By doing this, the forests are getting cleared out. Introducing new animals is also a danger. The reason for this is some may not be able to adapt or they may eat other animals and decrease populations. But above all, deforestation is the reason these are getting destroyed</div>]]></description>
