Philippe Halsman was born on May 2nd, 1906, in Riga, Latvia, and he passed away on the 25 of June 1979. His style is unique because of it's spontaneousness and boldness. He often took pictures of actors and authors, and he liked fashion too, taking lots of pictures of hats. Something really interesting about Philippe is that he was accused of the murder of his father, and due to circumstantial evidence, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison. Amazingly, after that, he became known as one of the best photographers in France.
