Claire, Baili, and Samera help Randa find her true self and teach her some ways on how to feel better about her self image. This book is what I would call, ‘friendship heavy’. The book in my mind is a “map” for Randa to find true friendships and expressing her inner person.

Lilly (Born Timothy) walks out in the front of her house and see’s Norbert (Dunkin) with a Dunkin Doughnuts bag and it spills. Lilly is standing outside with a dress and sandals, not normal for a boy. Lilly and Norbert make eye contact and they become fast friends. They become best friends and they live life to it's fullest, together. Together is one of the key words that the author likes to use.

The Importance Of Wings

Roxanne and her sister, Gayle live nextdoor to the bright pink, so called ‘cursed house’. The first people who lived there were a sweet family, with a highschool-aged daughter, Serena. Serena went to her senior prom and then vanished forever. Then the family moved out. Weeks later, the house was sold to a new couple, in their 50’s. They committed a huge crime and the FBI stood in front of their house with guns and caution tape in the middle of the night. But, nobody ever knew what they did. About 4 months later, the Brinn Family moves in with their 3 year old daughter, who then falls down the stairs and breaks her neck. On the way to her funeral, the family gets into a car accident on the highway. A milk truck ran into their car and the whole family dies. The creepy thing is, “Blood and milk = bright pink” (Friedman 4). At least that is what the highway officials say. The house is put up for sale once again. The FOR SALE sign was then taken down and someone bought the house. What will Roxanne and Gayle think? Read the book to find out!

The Importance Of Wings is a MUST READ! This book is SO underrated on how amazing this book is! I give it a 6/5 stars because I can literally stay up until 11:00 PM reading this book, it’s that amazing. It pulls you back for more every time I open, I can barely put it down. My favorite line is “Friendship, and family, all important, just like our bond together” (Friedman 78). It has everything I enjoy in a book, Mystery, Friendship, Things I Can Relate to, (in this case, being a Jew), Fiction, Sadness, Happiness, Kindness, and overall JOY! If you enjoy the same things I enjoy in a book, you MUST read it! This book is amazing, read it now!

Then they are in their house, packing up the stuff for the new neighbors. “We have someone moving into the house, hope it will all go alright!” (Friedman 49).

The List is a great book for anybody who needs a challenging book to read yet, not boring at all! This book appeals to anyone in 7th grade and up. I had a hard time with understanding some of the words. It was an overall good book that kept me on my toes. “Who could the list-maker be, it’ll always be a mystery” (Vivian 330). This is my favorite quote!! It REALLYshows that this book is a total cliffhanger! I love it! So, I give it a 4 out of 5 stars because it was a little long and it was hard to understand some words. If you like current event books with a plot that keeps you coming back for more, read this book today!

Amelia’s Middle School Yearbook is not my favorite book. It was a bit confusing with the font and pictures as it is a journal/diary type thing. I did enjoy the plot of the story, but it was kind of all over the place with the story line. My favorite line is, “Amelia, it’s always okay to ask for help from me, because that’s what friends are for” (Moss 76). It was only 89 pages but, it had a TON of words on each page. (also super confusing for me) This was a good book so I’ll give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. If you like books with some pictures and the “handwriting font” with real time events, read this book!

In The List, Abby is first at her house and in her neighborhood with Chelsea. Then, they go to a party at Claire’s house “‘Abby Warner was at Claire McClure’s house, for about the 100th time this week. Said Sarai” (Vivian 82). This quote shows Sarai being sarcastic and annoyed because all Abby can talk about is how amazing it is to be so popular. Then, they go to Brookdale High School for Senior Prom later in the book. After prom, Abby and friends head to Oliver Hodge’s afterparty around Abby’s house. Then, the book finally ends with a graduation party at the neighborhood country club, Southern Grove C.C.

Every year at Brookdale High a list is posted. A girl from each grade is chosen as the prettiest, and a different girl is chosen as the ugliest. Nobody knows who makes the list. It does not even really matter. Abby Warner (coincidentally my last name) ends up as the prettiest freshman, taking after her sisters. Sadie, Abby’s best friend, ends up as the ugliest freshman. “Of course she (Sadie) always will get ugliest but I’ll win the prettiest, I can almost touch that list” (Vivian 207). What will Abby think? This shows that Abby feels that she is basically on top of the world and she is the best unlike anyone else. How will Sadie feel? Read the book to find out!

At the begging of our story, it jumps right into action. Wyatt, our main character, falls into the Rapids on a whitewater trip. Then, we have a flashback of Wyatt and his brother joking around about falling in the water while listening to Brody, the guide’s instructions. Johnny, Wyatt’s brother, says, “Wouldn’t it be awesome to fall in?” (Robie 2). After this, the whole group heads out to the river. While they are out, they help another raft get free from a rock. This causes them to go into difficult rapids and Wyatt falls off. Wyatt remembers Brody’s insertions and is able to swim to safety.

I think that his was an okay story. I give it a 4/10 stars. It was adventurous but, not my type of story. My favorite quote from the story is, “Suddenly, water was pouring in everywhere” (Robie 1) I like this quote because it is very adventure-y. Like it just sounds cool. This story is great for anyone who likes adventure but, I’d prefer not to read this over something else more my type. Read it if this sounds appealing!

“Finally, he was just a yard away. Knowing this was his only chance, he took two strokes and lunged for the raft” (Robie 2). “Ahhh!” Says Wyatt. “I’m not sure I can hold onto this raft any longer!” He exclaims, helplessly. “You’ll be fine! Don’t be such a baby!” Says Johnny. The Rapids had taken Wyatt with them. “Help! Help! Help!” Says Wyatt. He quickly grabs a hold of a rock with about 50 cracks in it. Crumble! “This rock is breaking! I can’t hold on any longer!” Yells Wyatt. “Gee, I thought we would come home with everyone we came with!” Says Johnny. “I have never seen someone ever drown in my raft.” Says Brody. Brody then jumps into the Rapids and saves Wyatt. Everyone went home safely. The end.

The start of the book takes place at The Grove shopping center. Cole, Savannah and Everleigh meet in person for the first time. “The number one thing to pop up on my phone was an outdoor mall called The Grove” (LaBrant 2). After the grove, Cole, Savannah and Everleigh go to Barnes and Noble. Then, they all head to VidCon, a social media convention. After that, Savannah and Cole go to the FAITH Christian convention in southern Alabama. Cole decided to move to California from Alabama to be with Savannah and Everleigh.

I think this might be my favorite book on my Padlet. I loved it! I would give it a 5/5 stars because it kept me coming back for more. I loved how you could see the point of view from Savannah and Cole for each chapter. Like for Chapter 5 (and the other chapters too) you got to hear what Savannah thought and what Cole thought. At one point, Everleigh got some time to write! I loved the line, “We are certain that the best is yet to come!” (LaBrant 199). Read this book!
