My classroom consists of 6 students who are all diagnosed with EBD. All of my students have a difficult time controlling their emotions. When they are using emotion, they will use the wrong emotion resulting in other students having negative reactions. Each student in the class will use this application.

Why this specific app, you ask?

I chose this app because it covers a large variety of emotions. This is a great feature because students with EBD really struggle with controlling or even using emotions appropriately. A feature I like is that this app requires the students to match emotion names with the picture of the emotion. The last feature I like is that there are also many different games that can be used to help the students further understand the many different emotions.

I will use this app immediately following morning meeting. Students will break into three groups. Each group will be covering a different topic but one group will have the iPad's playing on this app. This will help them start the day with appropriate emotions and help them remember how they should be acting throughout the day. This could be used for play as well.

First, students will pull up the app on the iPad. Once they have done that, the students be able to decide if they want to work on flashcards or play a game. If they chose a game, they can pick from reading, listening, and finding the items. If a student needs to work on a specific skill, I will address that to the student individually and instruct them on what game/activity they will play.

IOS Accessibility Features for everyone!

This app has so many different IOS features that my students would be able to use. ABA Flashcard fonts are adjustable, allowing the students to either enlarge or shrink the print. Another feature is that this app has audio for students who are hearing impaired. The timing for the games are also adjustable. Allowing me to set the time for each student. For the students that get upset more easily, we will have a longer time to ensure they finish the set. The last feature would be guided access. I would be able to set the iPad to only this app so my students would not be able to change to another game/activity.
