This film was set in the nocturnal underbelly of contemporary Los Angeles, California. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Lou Bloom, an intelligent/sociopath young man desperate for work who discovers the high-speed world of L.A. crime journalism. He stumbles into a new career as a cameraman, armed with a camcorder and police scanner begins nocturnal forays across the city in search of shocking and grisly crimes.

My favorite part of this film is the plot where Gyllenhaal's character sets up Rick (Riz Ahmed) by lying to him that the gunman in the SUV is dead, and that's how Rick gets shot. From that perspective i knew exactly what type of a person he is. He's a fast learner, and he doesn't usually take no for an answer. He technically betrayed his own co. partner for his own selfishness with no doubt at all. Jake Gyllenhaal’s acting as Lou Bloom was such an astonishing and one of the greatest acting performance of all time. I would say everything about this film is absolute phenomenal.

My honest opinion about this film is there's not a dull moment of this film to me. Not even at the beginning when the story has not gotten that interesting yet, even those scenes are good and well acted. I highly recommend everyone to watch this fascinating film at least once in your life! It's such a great quality movie that I consider as perfect. Overall from every perspectives of this film, I rate it as 11/10 ! 

         Oh Joon-woo is alone in his family's apartment when a mysterious disease that causes those infected to attack and eat uninfected people breaks out in the news and around him. When he opens the door to the hallway, a neighbour barges in. The man begs to stay but succumbs to infection and attacks Joon-woo. Joon-woo pushes him back out and locks the door. He then receives messages from his parents telling him they are safe. Joon-woo attempts suicide but manages to free himself when he sees a laser pointer's light moving around his apartment. Kim Yoo-bin, a survivor living in the apartment building opposite his, signals to him.

           My favourite part on this film is when the pair gear up, rappel from their balconies, and fight their way to the 8th floor of Joon-woo's apartment, thinking no one lives on that floor. An infected man sees them and summons other infected. As the pair is about to be overtaken, an older man emerges from the last suite on the floor and saves theM In the stranger's home, the pair accepts his food and water, and Joon-woo falls asleep from drugs in the food. As Yoo-bin tries to fight off the drug effects, the stranger binds their wrists and locks Yoo-bin in a bedroom with his infected wife.The man surrenders to his wife's attack, and Yoo-bin shoots them both.The gunshots attract more infected, and Yoo-bin asks Joon-woo to kill her. As he hesitates, helicopters pass outside. 

            In my opinion, this movie shows an element of courage and good cooperation between the community. Alive is a very good movie to watch with family during your free time. This movie is also suitable for children aged twelve and above. The movie give us a lot of lessons for example we need to help people who in trouble and figuring out a solution to save yourself from the virus.
