Enhancing English Language Teaching: A Comprehensive Approach Through Theory, Practice, and Technology


This repository reflects the knowledge and skills gained throughout the Didactics of English course. Over the term, we explored key aspects of language teaching, including lesson planning, setting learning objectives, and the communicative approach. We researched how to teach and assess language skills such as listening, reading, writing, speaking, and grammar, while incorporating best practices and effective activities. We also worked with AI tools to enhance English teaching and developed a research project to address an educational issue, using data analysis and literature to propose solutions. These learnings are essential as they provide a solid foundation for effective language teaching and help improve our ability to create engaging, learner-centered environments. This repository not only serves as a record of our learning experiences but also as a valuable resource for future teaching practices, offering tools and strategies to enhance the quality of English language instruction. </description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this unit, we delve deeper into understanding of the core language skills essential for English teaching: listening, reading, writing, speaking, and pronunciation, alongside grammar. We examined effective methods for teaching each skill, identifying best practices and strategies to engage students and promote language acquisition. This guide encouraged us to design activities tailored to developing both receptive and productive skills, while considering the importance of balanced language instruction. As part of our learning, we created a comprehensive didactic unit that with these skills, aligning objectives, activities, and assessments over a four-session timeframe. This emphasized the need for well-rounded language development and provided valuable tools for measuring student progress through formative and summative evaluations.</p>]]></description>

In this lesson, students will have the opportunity to practice all the skills involved in language learning: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.</p><p>The lesson includes a series of didactic and interactive resources designed to facilitate vocabulary acquisition. Additionally, it goes beyond learning individual words by integrating key grammatical aspects, such as the use of the verbs <em>to be</em> and <em>to have</em>, essential for describing animals and their characteristics.</p><p>Throughout the lesson, students will participate in dynamic activities that encourage interaction, such as matching games, group descriptions, and listening exercises. These activities not only reinforce the vocabulary learned but also help students build confidence when speaking English.</p><p>Finally, the lesson aims to actively engage students, connecting new knowledge to real-life situations. For instance, students will be encouraged to create brief descriptions of their pets or animals they find interesting, applying both the vocabulary and grammatical structures they have learned.</p>]]></description>
