The colonists were upset with England because Parliament was taxing them without their consent known in the phrase as "Taxation without Representation". The colonies did not have Representatives like our present day government, because of this colonists didn't have a voice in Parliaments decisions. As Parliament began placing taxes on items for trade in the colonies, colonists grew angry and began to boycott the Acts. The colonists wanted to be heard and began to voice their opinions of the taxes through boycotts. The colonists joined together in protest.

Over time the colonists grew more and more angered over all of the new tax laws that were being issued, so the colonists started to boycott Goods being made over seas, dumping tea of of ships coming over to Boston, frightening tax collectors so they didn't have to pay taxes.

The colonists were upset with England because the Parliament raised taxes without the colonists knowing. They soon started to startle the tax collectors that way they wouldn't have to give anything. The Parliament also told them where they had to buy their tea and other supplies. The colonists didn't agree, so about 5 of the colonists took tea off of loaded ships and dumped them into the Boston Harbor which was called The Boston Tea Party.

The English taxed paper, tea glass, lead, paint, and some other goods most colonists wanted. The biggest protest the colonists made was the Boston Tea Party. The worst part is that the Parliament taxed the colonists without their consent, John Adams and James Otis called it "Taxation without Representation."

The colonists were upset with England because they kept taxing the colonists and kept passing Acts. England was taxing everything such as sugar, tea, stamps, etc. In result to all of this taxing, the colonists held boycotts, which were their most common way of protesting the laws that the British passed. This worked most of the time, but the British still kept passing all sorts of laws that the colonists didn't agree on. This kept the tension going

Parliment was still very keen on keeping the colonies under their own control, but the colonists wanted freedom.
