         <description><![CDATA[<div> What are two causes of the high crash rate among young drivers?<br><br><br>a) Most young drivers obtain their driving license at the age of 17, which is a time when they are trying to fit in with their social group; thus, their friends’ opinions of them are very important to them. <br><br><br> b) As a result, they may, for example, break too suddenly in the rain and end up skidding.<br><br> c) The high crash rate among young drivers is caused by inexperience and age. <br><br><br> d) In addition, they have yet to develop multitasking skills so they can easily forget to look at what is behind and beside them as well as what is ahead of them and may have an accident while overtaking another car. <br><br>e) The second main factor involved in the high rate of crashes among young people is age. <br><br>f) First, because young drivers have little driving experience, they generally have less ability to drive in different weather conditions.<br><br>g As a consequence, peer pressure can cause young drivers to engage in risky or illegal driving behaviour, such as drink-driving or speeding to impress their friends. </div>]]></description>
