In this high school Psychology lesson, students researched in random groups of 3 the 5 Learning Theories and posted their findings on vertical whiteboards. Students then took part in a knowledge mobility activity in which they learned from the information posted in the room about all 5 learning theories, considered pros and cons to each and considered which learning theory(ies) they most often utilized in their own studies.

For a couple of days students have been participating in a claim exercise where I taped excerpts from their current story up on wipebooks and gave them a claim "checklist" of sorts... They had 5 minutes in groups to read the excerpt and write claims. I have seen students become leaders today, two days after we started, who are never leaders in class. The repetition, the group work, I can't wait to see if they can do it now independently on their CERs.

Followup - Excellent transfer of skills on their CER!
