While falling in love with a boy from a different time period.

The character with the worst relationship with the protagonist is Uncle Joe, this is because Joe try's to kill her and take over what she loves.

The genre of my book is fiction because it talks of a fictional disease that poisons the wood in which people travel to from different time period.

One character that reminds me of my mom is Winter's mom because she is constantly worrying.

One thing I would change bout the plot if I could would be to make it a bit more realistic and give more backstory on Winter and her dad especially.

The poisoned wood would be the new title I would give my book because it isn't talking about the poison that takes over the wood.

I would ask Winter what add her fall in love with Henry. Her work is well known.

The protagonist, Emily Hughes struggles with her only bestfriend leaving her without telling her. She also struggles with the fact that she is shy, awkward and alone. She has to learn how to be herself and find new friends when solane goes MIA.

I think this book is very realistic, it shows the struggles of teenagers as well as having its own unpredictable plot to make it interesting.

The character that had the worst relationship with the protagonist would probably be solane, her so called bestfriend that ups and leaves without an explanation.

The most important thing this protaginist learns about herself is, that she doesn't need someone to define her and to be yourself always.
Two book I would read from these padlet posts are, Happiness Index and All the Bright Places

By Julie Berry

I chose this book by going into the library and asking about a fantasy
style novel that could interest me and keep my attention.

What the author did to get me interested was section off each chapter for each character. Meaning the author wrote a chapter per character, describing their life stories that's currently occurring, all throughout the book.

Three interesting facts about Julie Berry are...1) She was the youngest of seven kids 2) She dreamed of being a marine biologist 3) Julie grew up with turkeys

The protagonist, Botille, struggles with keeping secrets from those of who are trying to find a certain girl, Dolssa. I would also say she struggles with keeping herself and others in control and in line with everything.

The level of characterization so far is realistic because the author uses sensory adjectives, detailed appearance descriptions, and detailed personality traits to describe each character as they come. Especially with the main characters and reoccurring characters in the book.

My books genre is fiction and I know that because nowhere on the book it says that it's non-fiction and the story is told in a fashion that is highly descriptive during a middle-ish aged time period. It's a little obvious how some events are made up.

If I had to spend a day with one character it would be Botille because she is brave, compassionate, and a leader. Together, her and I could go on some adventure that could possibly end us up in a bad situation, but it would end up being fun and humorous in a way, as she can make situations into.

One character that reminds me of my sister would be Dolssa because Dolssa is quiet, mysterious, and likes events to happen her way. My sister is quite similar because shcarries those traits as well.

A show that this book reminds me of is a show called "Salem." The show is a witchy based theme, and that reminds me of Dolssa because both the show and book are taken place during the same time period relatively and they both have similar descriptions of place, such as homes being located in a small town-like village and both having a forest nearby where people discover new secrets about people in the village.

Two things that make my book different are the rich heightened languages spoken and the amount of detail put into something so small (like a description of a tree for example, being described as something beyond what it actually is).

This got me interested because it was a unique way of starting a book.

Three interesting facts
1. She told stories to young kids before she knew how to write
2. She tried writing in high school but wasn't good at it
3. She published her first book after she graduated college

The protagonist, Juniper, struggles with finding out what happened to her sister, she struggles because there was very little clues left behind and her mom makes it very hard for her.

If I could change one thing in the plot I would change when her sister died, I would've liked the book to start with her sister alive so it would be easier to understand what happened when she died.
My book is realistic fiction, I know this because the story didn't really happen but the story could actually happen.

My book is in first person, the whole time its juniper.
I would ask my character what she would've done differently if she knew her sister was going to die, I would also ask her what made her finally think of who "you" was

Also they both love taking photos, so they both have a similar hobby and similar traits.

Looking at the other Padlet entries, two books that I would like to read are : Since you've been Gone and The Cellar

If I had a chance to interview the character Alexis in my story, I would ask,
1. Would you have wanted more than one person helping you with your sister?
2. How come it's so hard for you to trust someone even though they are trying to help you and can be trusted?
