We are all created 

In the likeness of he

 

Even though created equally;

We are all still different eventually

Although you might misunderstand

We should open our mind to understand

 

That he and she isn’t just what we see

But it is our sexuality

We are here not to oversee

A synergetic relationship by a he and a she

 

A synergy to give life to the future;

Is our huge responsibility

It is one of the vocations we can pursue;

Going around the bush, 
There’s still only one end, 

To understand the complementarity of man and woman, 

Either in perception of divine or scientific manner 

It is like a duo in our lives, 

That this exists between the man and a woman 

Without barriers to choose giving and receiving one another, 

To become one as husband and wife 

Engaging in conjugal act freely, 

Doesn’t mean a genital act solely 

Uniting them as one and with God, as a family, 

Honoring the true meaning of human sexuality 

It is not the end, but the beginning, 
Of bringing forth the new life 

With open arms, they are welcoming 

Their life as a husband and wife. 

Being created in His likeness, there’s still a difference 

Not to oversee, but to be connected 

By this procreation, they are given responsibility 

In which family, the great wealth, blossoms fully. 

In spite of their differences they always attract, 

They were made for each other, and that’s for a fact. 

Blessed through marriage, the two shall become one, 

To share a fruitful life through ups and downs. 

 

The man and the woman will be the stronghold of the family, 

The shield of their children in times of atrocity. 

United as one with duties and responsibilities, 

to nurture their children and provide for their needs. 

 

Created equally with pride and dignity, 

No one is more, and no one is less. 

Made to complement each other in all God’s grace, 

To never falter whatever challenge they might face. 

The man and woman have been together from the start

Living harmoniously, each doing their part

Both fit together like all the aspects of art

Like the sun of the day and the moon of the night

These two are equally beautiful despite

The many differences that's obvious to the sight

Despite the differences, they fit each other like a hand does a glove

Taking turns to satisfy the responsibility they have

Tending to the generations to come born of their love

Thousand of years passed and now we're in the modern age

Science, technology, and society blooming away

Like a seed that's planted, it grows everyday

To everyone's shock, this new world has new problems to offer

Unseen before but now has ended the time of laughter

The sanctity of the sacred union has been desecrated

Along with other things that was much appreciated

All that once was dear and true has now all but faded

The people has been lenient in their ways of living

Thinking they have every right to keep what they think is worth keeping

And alter what they saw fit for altering

Now, there are many genders

No offense, i'm not opposed to this, but i think its going to far for starters

There's just so many new domain that mankind wants to conquer

Maybe its just me or maybe its the changing world

I feel like these changes are way too fast; there's too much of a hurl

But let's not forget the old ways that once was our pearl

Why fix things that are not broken?

The spirit of marriage and union must be kept and remain

For this is what our creator wants; His will is true and is law, it is not unwavering

Just like how He made the vast, entire universe, in His own image and likeness

Yet, we are all still equal in His eyes, like how He sees an apple in His eye, 

Beautiful and cherished above others despite of all these differences

He gave us life and various roles to play, as man and woman,

And some of those is to love, be loved, and be happy with the one you love

Because it is through these commands,

That we would be able to fulfill God’s plans for us

A Man and a woman in the future is ascertained, 

to live with each other in sorrow and in pain. 

They’re perfect complements of one another, 

Different in nature, but one cannot perform without the other. 

 

Each couple has this duty, 

To give in and receive from their partners freely; 

In order to perform their outmost responsibility, 

to procreate and to live in God’s love for eternity. 

 

A man and a woman is created equally, 

As stated in our own human dignity. 

A man and a woman would build their family eventually, 

In God’s love and teaching it’ll be founded strongly. 

 

In due time, the couple in their family, 

Would live their children a legacy. 

A legacy that will pass on to generations, 

A legacy that will continue on forever. 

 

God created the world in a perfect manner 

There are animals, trees, and even planners 

Planners like man and woman who will work together 

To be great stewards of God that will protect others 

 

It was said that man is for woman, just like Eve is for Adam 

A great tandem to create next generation of man 

But before that marriage is important 

To build a commitment that will not disappear in an instant 

 

Man and woman should not be a subtraction 

That can create at each other a distraction 

Instead they should be a multiplication 

To have a fruitful production 

 

Remember, God only created man and woman 

Addition to each other to have a great combination 

Man will fulfil the woman’s role to be a mother 

And woman will make the man a great father 

 

 

To reflect upon complementarity, 

Is nothing less than to ponder on harmony. 

It is a root of both marriage and family, 

Where we can aspire to realize our full capability. 

A man and a woman can be compared, 

To a body and soul through which we’re made. 

The body itself cannot fulfill its work alone, 

And the soul alone cannot stand on its own. 

The same goes for both man and woman, 

Who were anointed by God in His creative plan.

Both with equal dignity and significant difference, 

To fulfill their duties and responsibilities in the fullest sense. 

The challenge for us today is to save and preserve, 
The sacredness of marriage and family that we all deserve. 

It is a gift that ennoble the desires and virtues of their hearts, 

“UNTIL THEIR DEATH DO THEM PART.” 

With the creation of God, came Adam and Eve. 

The first man and woman to step foot on this land. 

The Garden of Eden, once only a garden for Adam. 

Is now a home, as he shared it with Eve. 

 

They connected with each other, as they were significantly different. 

Adam was attracted to Eve, as any man should be.

Love is what brought them together. 

Children is what bound them together. 

 

Like any family, Adam acting as the pillar of the family, 

Eve acting as the light of the home, nurtured their children until they part. 

However, parting is not forever. 

As it comes with a blessing, a blessing of another child. 

 

A child of their child, holding their hands, 

Looking up to their eyes, as they call them their grandparents. 

Life is a cycle, full of happiness and sadness. 

Just like the story of Adam and Eve, love is what kept them together. 

Humans are social beings,
We come together for a meaning.
Men and women have different roles,
We just have to work compatibly, to achieve our goals.

In marriage, these two unite.
With a promise to fight each other’s fright.
Swore to respect their preferences,
Amidst the differences.

To create a family, 
A man and a woman are needed substantially.
A child cannot exist,
If one resists.

But connected by a powerful energy- 

It cannot be seen, it is but a feeling, 

Expressed mutually and equally. 

With love, differences cannot defy, 

The eternal union of two human beings, 

Complementarity is learned and not given, 

And marriage is not imposed- it is chosen. 

Marriage is held with great responsibility, 

Imbued by love, faith and loyalty, 

For lovers, marriage is not just a status,

God made them with equal dignity,
Which is one of the few things that is essential to their complementarity;
Their sexuality which makes them different from each other,
Is also the thing that binds them together;

And will have their own line of family;
Because generation after generation, 
Their mark will still be in this nation.

Who people say are one 

Which God created and cannot be undone 

For both are made to have a plan 

 

A plan that is promising 

A plan that was first made from nothing 

A plan to keep everything together 

An experience to become a mother and a father 

 

The present may come surprising 

With each day we come to realizing 

A mother and a father who are married to one another

Here comes the Man and the Woman 

Who are equal and just 

Who are grateful to be human 

Because God gave his trust

Love, a long-lasting joy

In marriage, man and woman are committed 

In their vows, promises are being kept

In the midst of chaos,

They are each strengths and happiness

Each are equal in the eyes of God

They are both respected equally

And both of them are worthy

However, man and woman have differences

With different characteristics and each having unique personalities 

Nevertheless, they both have a mission

A child is the most precious gift for the husband and wife

The mother gives light, nurtures and care her child and spouse

Therefore, Love is an ultimate gift given by the Almighty

With His guidance into the lives of husband and wife

Love is the greatest possession passed on to future generations

It is the ultimate treasure

And of diverse details 
Of distinct fragments, 
They are two sensible pieces 
Together, a meaning 
Later, an answer 

For they are in a world of great design 
And they are a beauty 
Of its intricate patterns, 
The beauty of totality 

But they are made to be together effectively

Etched in their heart to look for the other
So that in the end they can be forever

Both were independently looking for the answer
On when they can seek their partner
Their lives may already be planned
But only time will make them meet

They were made to make the next generation
Through the means of procreation
By doing God’s mission
They have achieved completion

With the love of God becomes one

Together, they can draw any line

Different yet complementary; truthful to His design

A man and a woman

Made separately, to be one even in misery

Together, they will write their history

With Him, they will shape their family

A man and a woman

Will find strength to fulfill His expectations

Believing Him to build strong foundations

To birth and nurture the next generations

Love from god is truly inalienable 

We are all basically favorable 

In his name we are to be made 

To love is never to fade 

 

Men and women are created equally 

To me married is to be bound legally 

Peace is our mission to create an ally 

Faith is what makes us multiply 

 

Equal dignity, each of us have

Amidst our varying qualities,

We empower each other’s abilities

 

Man and woman as classified

Two significant beings unified

Marriage bound our love,

A man is gifted with strength,

And mind with incredible depth

A woman with passion and empathy

Endowed with God’s unending grace,

A butter is for a bread, 

A needle is for a thread, 

A can opener is for a can, 

A man is for a woman. 

When God created the earth, 

He started it from dirt 

He created adam and eve, with differences 

So that they’ll fit each other in any circumstances. 

He called adam as man and eve as woman, 

They’ll come hand in hand 

To protect the land and to multiply 

Because it is their mission, to create life. 

All of those that happened, 

Creates the rule that is said, 

That a man is for a woman only 

And anything else will not be holy 

Because the humanity’s mission 

Is to produce life and nurture it with love. 

Yes, other genders can nurture 

But nothing else can fulfill God’s command 

other than a pair of a man and woman.

INT. HOUSE (LIVINGROOM, KITCHEN, BEDROOM) - NIGHT 

In what became as a typical night in the Martin household, it was eerily quiet and no hint of movement can be seen except for the sound of raindrops. From their living room—where magazines, remote control, and the like are lying astray, where a blinking light bulb dimly illuminating the room is neglected, —, their kitchen—where dirty dishes are ignored in the sink and where there is a broken glass on the floor—, and their bedroom—where their clothes are scattered on the bed and floor—it was as though there was no one was living there, let alone a married couple. 

EXT. PORCH - NIGHT 

In the porch however, sat Paul Martin in his usual blue polo shirt and navy pants. His stance is of a man who has the world on his shoulders. He was whispering. 

PAUL MARTIN: 

Please. Please come home already. 

Paul looks up and sees Katherine coming his way. He straightens up and tries to walk towards her but she holds up a hand and sat beside him. They sat quietly, both of them staring at nothing. She sighs. 

KATHERINE MARTIN: 

I…I really don’t know what happened… 

PAUL MARTIN: 

…to us, you mean? 

Katherine sighs and shakes her head. Looking over Paul, she smiled and wiped the traitorous tears that rolled over her cheeks.  

KATHERINE MARTIN: 

We tried, didn’t we? We went through our marriage by His words. We lived by Him and His words alone! 

Fades in 

EXT. WEDDING RECEPTION – SUNSET 

Flashback. 

It was a beautiful day—people are radiating with happiness, happiness for the newly married couple. Amidst the chatter of everyone, songs playing in the background, and the flowers scattered and about, though, cuddling quietly in corner are Paul and Katherine. Both of them watching their loved ones laugh and talk about them. Paul held up Kat’s hand and kissed it. 

PAUL: 

You know… I’m glad we waited. I now just realized how sacred marriage is. I now have the privilege not only to get to know your… [He chuckled as she blushes] body, but now I get to also know you and know how beautiful your soul really is. And guess what? We have all the time in the world! 

Even as her cheeks blushes in both embarrassment and happiness, Kat laughed along with him—obviously in agreement with him. 

End of flashback.

EXT. PORCH - NIGHT 

Kat is full on crying now, while Paul tries to hold back his tears. He clenches his jaw and turned to her. 

PAUL: 

Kat laughs darkly. 

KAT: 

You forgot to mention procreation—it’s in His words, right? 

PAUL: 

Please… please know I did not marry you just so we could have children. I mean, that would be an absolute blessing and a dream come true. But you are the main reason I married you. I know for a fact that God would not want for us to procreate with the wrong intentions. And I’m sure… despite what happened last year… He has plans for us. 

Fades in 

INT. HOUSE – DAY 

Paul was decorating the baby room when he heard a piercing scream from the bathroom. He runs and discovers Kat lying by the toilet with blood everywhere. 

INT. CLINIC – DAY 

Kat and Paul face the doctor with grim faces, both expecting to be delivered a bad news. 

DOCTOR: 

Kat paled even harder, and Paul tried to hold her hand for support but she pulls her hand away and clenches it against her thighs to hide how hard it shook. 

EXT. PORCH - NIGHT 

They are now both panting, flooded with memories. Kat whispers. 

KAT: 

PAUL: 

Yes, and we will savor our time together. Whatever may come our way, we will help each other and not shut down. We will take marriage life in strides. 

The couple hugged. Kat smiled and closed her eyes as Paul tightens his arms around her. Paul kissed her head as they whispered. 

BOTH: 

I love you.

The clean and tidy living room, kitchen, and colorful baby room and master bedroom, are now full of love and joy. Distinct giggle of a five-year-old can be heard from the bedroom. It was from the living room. They are playing scrabble and Kat puts in the word L-O-V-E on the board. 

CHILD: 

Mommy Kat and Daddy Paul, how did I get into this world? 

KAT: 

Through our love. 

PAUL: 

We asked God for you, of course. 

KAT: 

And most especially… 

BOTH:
