That means the boy is unwelcome from other people in the school. Besides, the sneering comment and the gossips make him blue. In addition, the song also remind me the bullied tends to have instable mental health due to various reason, just like the boy and girl in the song, which don't have a healthy and stable family to back them up, which led them not to actively engage in school life, and making them prone to bullies looking for pray. So the song remind me that the bullied usually have some issue which confusing them and led to low self-esstem.
