That way they can take their laptops to college and parents aren't buying two laptops in an 8 year span. I'm assuming that coding and high level research are happening mostly in the junior and senior year.

For instance, it has been a powerful tool to use Notability to write and draw for science classes, but my summer students doing the same content preferred to print out everything rather than use their laptops.

Encouraged students to bring computers if they have laptops. Not the other side of the experience, I had similar work product from students on computer or on iPad. But, the students working on the computers were able to do work more efficiently in class. A few students had iPad Pro and they were able to make some excellent work too. I think we should be a 2:1 school. There are positives and negatives to both, hence why we need both. Laptops are not difficult to use. It doesn't take them 4 years to learn how to use a laptop. We are also preparing them for the next step of their education, not just their future job (which we have no idea what that will look like).
