There obviously were no buildings so there was alot of free land. There werent people so there were more animal species. The atmosphere had less oxygen than today. Continents formed due to plate tectonics. Complex cell organisms form. Earth froze a couple of times. Organisms started to have hard shells. Fish started to “walk” on land. Dinosaurs flourished on land until the triassic period.

There also weren't many islands due to all the land on earth being bunched together at this time period if you go with the theory about Rodinia. All of this land though was purely rock.
